v1.29.0 (Aug 3, 2026) Extra login security with one-time email codes
We've added another layer of protection to signing in.
Email verification codes:
- Your login may now ask for a six-digit code sent to your email, after you enter your password or sign in with Google or Apple
- Enter the code on a simple verification screen to finish signing in
- Didn't get it? Resend the code, and you'll see whether it's on its way
- If you also use an authenticator app, that step still applies as an extra layer of security
Safer accounts behind the scenes:
- Verification codes are stored securely and only work in the browser where you started signing in
- Authenticator app details are now encrypted
- Setting up an authenticator app now asks you to confirm your password first
- Deactivated accounts are checked again at every sign-in step
Small fixes:
- The logo now displays at the correct size on sign-in and password confirmation screens
